Kingi wants county employees to ensure residents get the best of services.

Speaking to journalists after a meeting with county staff on Wednesday, Kingi said that his administration is keen to deliver the promises it made to the people.

He said that employees are his ambassadors and that they have to work tirelessly in discharging their duties.

“My appeal is to our staff to focus on service delivery and help us actualize and fulfil the promises we have made Kilifi people,” he said as quoted by the People Daily.

Kingi said that lazy staff will not be tolerated, adding that proper measures shave been put in place to measure employees performance.

Kingi also warned county staff against corruption. He said that any employee who will be implicated in corruption should be ready to carry his or her own cross.

The ODM governor said that measure shave been put in place to guard against corruption and misuse of public resources.

Governor Kingi, won re-election for a second term on ODM ticket beating his closest rival Gideon Mung’aro who was vying on Jubilee ticket and former Labour CS Kazungu Kambi.

Kingi has since reached out to Mung’aro and Kambi saying he is ready to work with them for the interest of the people.
