[Photo|Amason Kingi]Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi has called on all political leaders in the county, to join hands and work together, towards benefiting residents.This is after he was presented with his re-election certificate at the Kilifi County IEBC Tallying Centre, Friday evening. Irrespective of their political affiliation, the ODM governor who trounced his rival, Jubilee Party's outgoing Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro, said all elected leaders in the coastal county should focus on development agenda.
"For all the elected leaders in the County, I applaud you. The responsibility is now on us to forge a united front to develop our county regardless of our political inclinations so that our people fully benefit from our leadership and enjoy the fruits of devolution," said Kingi."I am grateful for your support and confidence in my leadership. I want to assure you that our transformation journey continues. Let us work together to ensure we achieve our collective ambition of a developed county," he told the people of Kilifi.On August 8, during elections, Kingi cast his vote at Kamale Primary School in Adu ward.
