Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui on Tuesday led a delegation of Nakuru leaders to meet Deputy President William Ruto at his Karen office.
The DP said the meeting was pegged on the need for a peaceful region.
"Let us make it the business of every leader to pursue, maintain peace and tranquility. Harmonious relationships, bonds of friendship and brotherhood are building blocks for an indivisible, prosperous country," the DP said after the closed door meeting.
A source who attended the meeting said the leaders took the moment to lobby for Nakuru’s development.
“Leaders present lobbied for certain projects in the area. You know the DP is truly interested in the development of our country,” the MP said.
Among those who attended the meeting are Nakuru MPs, Speakers of the County Assembly, Nakuru County deputy Governor and the Governor.
