Isiolo County Governor Mohammed Kuti has promised to revive stalled Isiolo modern abattoir that was started by the national government in 2007.
The abattoir was handed over to the county government in 2014.
The county boss said his administration will ensure that abattoir comes into operation as soon as possible to enable the region export livestock products to the land in the international market.
"To complete the project the county government requires Sh300 million. We wish to negotiate with the national government after a forensic audit on how funds were utilized for us to seek new means to complete the project to so as it be operational", said Kuti.
He assured that his administration will not allow any project go uncompleted.
"I can't watch projects stall. My administration will be committed to ensure all projects are completed in good time for the benefit of the people. No single cent will be misused under my leadership", he said.
