Isiolo county governor Mohamed Kuti has warned new executives against corruption and wastage of funds.

The governor said the  executives will be on a three year contract which will be renewable based on performance.

Kuti warned that the executives colluding with contractors to swindle public funds will be arrested and prosecuted as the contractors will be blacklisted.

He claimed that the previous executive members who served in the previous county government looted public funds to enrich themselves.

"I will not allow corrupt officials to serve in my government as they will derail the development in the county. Anyone found embezzling public funds will face the law," he said.

He urged the executives to focus on service delivery to the people.

The governor urged residents to keep the leaders on toes and report anyone engaging in corruption to relevant authorities for the law to take its part.
