Launching the project yesterday afternoon at Kiahuria grounds, the governor explained that the initiative was made to enable the residents to access water five days in a week. He also stated the County government would be making sure that by the end of 2015 every household would have access to a taped water system.

“it is the county’s agenda to ensure that the Juja community doesn’t have to get its water from the chemically polluted rivers,” said Kabogo

The governor therefore stated the county had for that reason come up with the water project to curb water shortage menace and ensure access to clean water for Juja residents.

The residents of Juja were urged to devote themselves into installing their farms with proper drainage systems so as to avoid letting chemicals flowing into the water sources near them.

Kiahuria residents constantly face water shortages their main source of water are seasonal rivers that get water from unpredictable rainfall.
