Marsabit County has launched a Sh2.3 billion water and sanitation project.
County governor Mohammud Ali met with experts from Northern Water services board, Tana water service board and a Korean engineering consultant on Saturday to review the project.
The county boss said his administration has acquired the money from the African Development Bank, ADB for the mega project in Saku constituency.
He said his government is determined to end the perennial water crisis in one of the country's biggest counties.
"The project aims at improving lives by increasing water usage two to three times", he said.
The governor added that the project will be completed by September 2022.
Marsabit is among the counties that faces acute water shortage due to drought.
