The county government of Uasin Gishu is committed to ensuring that welfare of its staff has been well taken care of so as to ensure effective service delivery to the public.

Speaking while launching staff wellness week under the theme ‘’Invest In Health for a Better Tomorrow’’ at the County Headquarters in Eldoret, Monday, Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago said human capital was a major factor in service delivery in any organisation.

Mandago encouraged all staff as well as members of the public to take advantage of the services provided during the annual staff wellness week which will run from 27th November through to 1st December 2017, marking the World Aids Day.

The governor said that his administration will invest heavily in sports to ensure that staff and the residents carry out the exercise to avoid lifestyle diseases caused by a sedentary way of life.

Eldoret hospital, St Luke's Hospital, Rapha Hospital as well as Uasin Gishu Health department are among the service providers screening the staff members.
