Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama on Thursday led a host of leaders in paying tribute to 9 victims who lost their lives in Narok.

The sorrowful mass service was held at Nyamira Primary School grounds on Thursday.

“We have lost many lives through accidents in our roads. So as to reduce the numbers of accident victims, new drivers should be properly trained and there should be fresher courses for public service vehicle drivers,” Noted Nyagarama.

The governor, while addressing the mourners said that the county had wavered the hospital and mortuary fees of the victims

The county DP Governor Amos Nyaribo called for the construction of the Suswa-Ngog road as an alternative route for travellers from the Western region in a bid to minimize accidents.
