A new poll released Thursday has indicate if elections were to be held today, three sitting governors from Bungoma, Turkana and Embu would retain their seats.
According to the survey conducted by research firm Infotrak, governor Ken Lusaka, Josphat Nanok and Martin Wambora would beat their political rivals.
In Bungoma, Ken Lusaka ‘s popularity is at 52.2 per cent while his closest opponent Wycliffe Wafula is second with 31.9 per cent, Alfred Khangati follows with 5.2 per cent while Stephen Mutoro has 0.1 per cent.
Council of Governors chairman Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok is ahead in Turkana with 77.7 per cent support. His opponent John Munyes has a popularity of 14.3 per cent, while eight per cent of respondents are yet to decide for whom to vote for.
The poll also puts Embu governor Martin Wambora ahead with 48.4 per cent popularity while Lenny Kivuti is second with 26.2 per cent.
The survey was conducted between July 10 and July 15, with 1,500 respondents being polled.
