For the better part of last year, Mandago had ganged along with Alfred Keter, Oscar Sudi and Silas Tiren against Ruto who they accused of sabotage.

But on Saturday, the second term governor seemed to have dumped his close allies, some of who are facing threat of being kicked out of parliament.

"They (Keter and Bowen Kangongo) are frustrating the Deputy President and we cannot allow they to blackmail us," he said.

He further said: "I urge them to drop the rebellious attitude and join hands with the DP in strategizing for 2022."

Both Kete (Nandi Hills) and Kangongo (Marakwet East) lost their seats and could be kicked out due to their rebellious nature.

Although both have hinted quitting Jubilee, they are however yet to disclose their next destination ahead of by-elections.
