Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has sent a message of condolence to the family and friends of the popular Kalenjin musician Weldon Cheruiyot also known as 'Kenene international' after he died in a grisly road accident along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway."I am so saddened by his untimely death, I have known and loved Keneni's music because of the creativity and well-devised messages. My heartfelt condolences to the families, fellow musicians, fans, friends, relatives and the Kalenjin community. May God give you strength during this hard time of grief," he said in Eldoret town, Sunday."His particular hit-song 'Samantha' was my favorite, I used it in the campaign for repeat presidential election to entertain and pass political messages. May his soul rest in eternal peace till we meet again,” noted Mandago. Keneni succumbed to a grisly accident that involved a problem and a truck at Kamara along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway Saturday night.
