Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago and several Jubilee aspirants have threatened to boycott the re-scheduled party primaries.

The aspirants want Jubilee National Elections Board vice chairperson Vesca Kangogo barred from dealing with the nominations in Uasin Gishu County.

The leaders met on Saturday at the Eldoret Sports Club and asked the party to destroy all ballot papers used in the Friday elections.

"There will be no elections in Uasin Gishu unless the party abides by our resolutions," Julius Korir, an aspirant for Soy MP seat after the meeting.

They have also accused Deputy President William Ruto’s aides of meddling with the Uasin Gishu nominations.

Ruto’s aide, Farouk Kibet, has since denied the allegations levelled against them by the leaders.

Mandago, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and Alfred Keter of Nandi Hills have claimed that there are efforts to rig them out.

The governor is facing a stiff challenge by businessman Bundotich Kiprip, alias ‘Buzeki’ for the governor ticket.
