The County government of Uasin Gishu will partner with the national government to implement water, infrastructure, healthcare and trade related projects as part of implementing the Jubilee manifesto christened 'The Big Four'.
In line with this, Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has requested the Deputy President William Ruto to pilot the housing project in Eldoret by constructing 5000 housing units.
"My administration will also sponsor over 100 youths who excelled in various disciplines in the County sponsored programme at the RVTTI, to Kenya Technical Trainers' College (KTTC)," said Mandago.
He said the students will sequentially teach at the TTIs that the National government is constructing in every constituency.
Mandago was speaking during an inter-denominational prayer service at Chepkemel in Ng'enyilel Ward, Turbo sub-county on Sunday.
Ruto and a contingent of Rift valley and Western leaders attended the thanksgiving Sunday service.
