Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has appealed to the Nakuru county assembly to approve and pass the 2016/2017 budget estimates quickly to enable his government execute its development agenda.

Speaking on Tuesday during the official launch of sports equipment at Afraha stadium, Mbugua said failure by the county assembly to pass the budget has stalled most projects which had been initiated.

Mbugua said delivery of important services by his government has also been hampered due to lack of funds,

“I want to make a special appeal to the county assembly to hasten the passage of the budget because we cannot work as a government without the budget being approved,” said Mbugua.

“I know they are honorable members and they will heed to my call and pass the budget because most our projects have stalled,” he said,

The Governor found himself in a fix after the Nakuru county assembly declined to pass the 2016/2017 budget estimates by June 30th.
