Three weeks ago Nacada chairman John Mututho announced his bid to challenge him for the topmost post in the oncoming elections.

In launching his bid, the former Naivasha Member of Parliament had criticised the governor claiming he was doing nothing to improve the welfare of the people.

As a rejoinder, Kinuthia claimed that the county was doing an incredible job even if they did not “Hit the headlines” in the newspapers.

“My government does not place noisemaking above the welfare of our people; we are busy working for you. Even if at times we do not make it to the headlines, be assured that we are concentrating on serving you,” he said.

He added, “It is up to our people to judge the progress that we have made as a county as the leaders.”
