“Our aspiration is to construct at least one youth centre in each sub-county to help youth advance their talents."

Nakuru County Director of Sports David Mwangi said plans were in top gear to address the challenges affecting Nakuru youth by enrolling them in the youth centers .

Mwangi said more funds would be set aside in the 2016/2017 financial year to ensure operations at the centres run smoothly and better.

“We expect to increase youth allocation in the next financial year to increase the number of youth centers," Mwangi said.

Mwangi also noted that other than nurturing talent, the centres were also expected to keep the youth occupied as a way of keeping them out of crime.
