She spoke on Friday when she met the elderly at Kampi ya Moto, Rongai sub-county where she donated 15 mattresses and 15 blankets.

Mama Lucia also donated Sh20, 000 to each of the five women groups as a means of supporting them.

She said the groups which have ventured into various Small Enterprises will benefit from the money to expand their businesses.

The First Lady also took time to educate the women on saving to benefit them for the long term.

Mrs Mbugua urged parents in Rongai to be good role models to their children and bring them up in a Godly way.

She urged parents to take their children to school and shun female genital mutilation as they are the leaders of tomorrow.

She praised the Rongai residents for maintaining peace and thanked them for the continuous support they have accorded to Governor Mbugua and his administration at large.
