Governor Alfred Mutua has asked for support from Machakos residents in his efforts to better their living standards.
Addressing residents at Mavoko town on Thursday, Mutua said that his government recognises the problems facing the people and is keen to address them.
The governor, however, intimated that for effective development to be realised the public must support him.
“I want to call on Machakos people to support my development agenda as my government seeks to promote their lives,” he said.
Mutua said various development projects have been initiated across the county adding that people’s lives will transform when the projects are complete.
The governor cited renovation of various roads across the country saying the county government has partnered with the private sector to construct and repair all roads to the standards required.
He said that infrastructure is the pillar for any development stating that enough funds have been set aside to achieve the same.
Mutua at the same time said that he will not bow to his detractors who he claimed are working hard to discredit him.
He said his government will follow and has often followed all procedures when executing key issues.
Mutua said that no time has his government contravened regulations adding that he will maintain the development pace.
The governor assured residents that he will complete all development projects before the next general elections.
