Governor Alfred Mutua of Machakos county on Monday commissioned the Mwanyani primary school borehole in Muvuti/Kiima Kimwe ward.
The governor said the borehole is set to solve the water shortage crisis in the ward that has hit the area for a very long time.
"The borehole which will be used by pupils and teachers is part of the more than 300 boreholes that we have sunk in the county for public utility under our "Water is your right " programme," he said.
During the visit, Mutua asserted his government's commitment in ensuring that residents receive and access essential services.
"For a number of days, I have been visiting some water projects to ensure that we deliver quality and efficient service to the people.
That is the Maendeleo Chap Chap spirit," he said.
