Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has rubbished claims that he is using county resources to fund his Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) Party.
In an interview with Radio Jambo on Wednesday, Mutua termed as propaganda reports by some politicians that he has been funding his party using county money.
Mutua said MCC Party is funded by members, well-wishers and his local and foreign friends.
“It is malicious for people to claim that I have been using county money to fund Maendeleo Chap Chap activities because that is not true at all,” Mutua said.
Mutua said that his party has been audited by the Registrar of political parties as the law requires and no queries have ever been raised.
He said some people are envious of his Maendeleo Chap Chap which he claims dominates in Ukambani region.
Mutua said he will not be brought down by people who have no vision, adding that his party's agenda is to push for quick development across the country.
The Machakos county boss said he does not regret quitting Kalonzo Musyoka’s party to form Maendeleo Chap Chap.
Mutua said he was frustrated in Wiper hence quitting was the best decision ever.
He said his Maendeleo Chap Chap will be the party to watch ahead of the 2022 general election.
