Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has outlined plans to improve the county's business potential.

In his tweet on Tuesday, Governor Mutua announced plans to better the county so as to make it more attractive business destination.

Mutua, however, appealed for the cooperation of the national government in bettering of the county's infrastructure in line with the realization of the dream.

''My government is focused on opening up Machakos County for business and this will only happen by investing in our road network among other interventions,'' Mutua said.

Speaking after hosting a delegation from the Kenya Roads Board, under the leadership of the board Chair Michael Karanja, the Maendeleo Chap Chap party boss hailed his leadership for proper utilization of previous funds.

The meeting also saw the county boss outline his plans on improving the productivity of the existing infrastructure, specifically roads. 

''They congratulated my government for the prudent use of Kenya Roads funding and we exchanged ideas on our plans to expand and maintain our road infrastructure. We also discussed ways of enhancing the productivity of our roads team through further training on fiscal management,'' Mutua tweeted.
