The Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader campaigned for the party's candidate Wakili Ndegwa in forthcoming  Ruguru ward by-elections as he equally drummed support for his presidency in next polls.

Mutua met a section of leaders from the ward ahead of the by-election slated for April 18, 2018.

The Machakos governor later, jointly with the leaders addressed a series of rallies across the ward.

Ruguru ward became vacant following the death of former MCA Peter Weru on December moments after he delivered his Jamhuri Day speech in Mathira constituency.

During Mutua's  4-day tour, he visited various parts of Nyeri County in a bench marking exercise with delegates from Machakos county.

He signed an MoU with the Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga.

Mutua said the Memorandum of Understanding created a joint inter-county governmental relationship between the two governments and their residents.

He argued that the MOU creates an official and legal foundation for a strong relationship that will see accelerated development in both the Machakos and Nyeri Counties.

Mutua said Maendeleo Chap Chap Party is focused on providing strong leadership across the country.

He stated that the party is  dedicated in fast tracking development through credible and action oriented leadership.
