As leaders from Ukambani region meet to chat the political future of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka as a Kamba nation, Governor Alfred Mutua is busy laying strategies for his 2022 presidential bid.
Mutua had indicated a possible coalition between his Maendeleo Chap Chap party and KANU whose member, the Baringo senator Gideon Moi has equally announced he will be on the presidential ballot in next general elections.
The Maendeleo Chap Chap chairman disclosed this when he attended the homecoming ceremony of Baringo Central MP Joshua Kendie in Kapsogo market early in March this year.
"I will negotiate with Baringo senator Gideon Moi so that together we form a strong alliance that will help me rise to the top seat," Mutua said.
Mutua assured Kenyans that he will be on the ballot in 2022 elections.
He has since outlined his development projects' plan.
As a strategy, Mutua analyzed his working schedule and the projects he will lay as he conducts his tour across the nation.
"But even as I reach out to others, we will be engaging in massive development projects that change lives. We want to bring roads, water, employment, health and create appointments for our people." Mutua said.
"I will hold interactive meetings with 'mama mboga', Boda boda youth, professionals, the business community etc because these are the people with the real power and who want to see real change. I am very interested in seeing the lives of our people improve for the better through development by joining hands with leaders who are interested in development." he added.
Mutua promised to meet his fellow Governors Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) and Charity Ngilu (Kitui) as they join hands and exchange ideas and plan how to uplift their residents from abject poverty.
