(Photo/Kenyans.co.ke)Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has asked NASA leaders to wait for the next general election slated for 2022 instead of engaging in uncostututuional battles with the goverment.Governor Mutua argues that NASA cannot change the fact that 2017 election ended and that Uhuru Kenyatta is the president.Speaking to journalists in Machakos Town on Monday, Mutua said that NASA is disturbing the peace of their supporters and Kenyans by dragging the country to unending anxiety. He said that Kenyans want to move on, adding that it will be honourable if Raila Odinga concedes and accept that Uhuru Kenyatta is the duly elected president."It is time NASA leaders realized that they are making a mockery of themselves by dragging the country into suspense despite the election period ending with the re-election of president Uhuru Kenyatta," he said.Mutua advised Raila to use Parliament and the senate to push his agenda and stop lying to his supporters that he will be crowned president. The Maenedeleo Chap Chap (MCC) party leader said that Raila's swearing-in will not change facts. He asked Raila to play the role of a statesman and let Uhuru Kenyatta's goverment discharge its duties to Kenyan's.Raila's planned Tuesday swearing in was postponed on Sunday to a date that will be announced later.NASA explained that it could not go on with swearing-in in the absence of Raila's deputy Kalonzo Musyoka who is Germany attending to his ailing wife.Raila has maintained that he does not recognize Uhuru Kenyatta as president and that he won the August 8 presidential election that was nullified by the supreme court.
