Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to include Ukambani region in his development agenda as he serves his last term.

Mutua says that the region supports his (Uhuru's) regime 100 per cent.

Speaking during the burial of Raphael Mwangangi, father to State House Chief of  Staff Nzioka Waita  in Machakos on Saturday, Mutua said that the region voted overwhelmingly for Uhuru in the October 26, 2017 repeat presidential election despite a boycott from the opposition.

The governor noted that the region has suffered over the years because of misadvise from selfish politicians supporting the opposition.

"Mr President, we fully support your government and pray that you include us in the development agenda as you serve your final term," he said.

Mutua said that region will not continue to suffer in silence because of slefsih politicians who are out to fulfill their personal egos.

He asked Kambas to stand behind president Uhuru Kenyatta's government for development.

" We want development and the only place to get it is in President Uhuru Kenyatta's government," he said.

The Maendeleo Chap Chap governor also asked the Kamba community to shun opposition politicians misleading them.

He urged the community to unite and decide on it's political future.

Speaking at the burial, President Kenyatta called for unity across the country, sating that his government will serve all Kenyans whether they voted for him or not.
