Former Machakos senator Johnstone Muthama has said Governor Alfred Mutua's 2022 presidential bid is a pipe dream.
According to Muthama, the Maendeleo Chap Chap leader might attempt to vie for presidency in the next elections but cannot win the presidential race.
He said Mutua cannot become president even in a million years to come.
The politician who made the remarks during a phone interview with this writer on Tuesday said Mutua is a community reject who betrayed the Kamba community by supporting the Jubilee government for his own selfish gains.
Muthama said Mutua's decision to battle it out with Kalonzo in 2022 is clear indication of rivalry and on a mission to divide the kamba votes.
"Mutua should play in his league, the presidency is not for him," Muthama said.
Muthama laughed off Mutua's intention to tour Kenya to popularize his party saying that Mutua cannot convince a village, let alone the whole country.
He said Mutua has no ancestral roots in Machakos where he can point and say it's his home.
"I have said time and again, Mutua is an outsider. Show me his home in Machakos County and I will give you Sh10,000," Muthama added.
He told Mutua to walk in Kalonzo's footsteps if he wants to ever rule Kenya.
"Come slowly governor and retrace your steps if you want to inherit the kingdom of Statehouse," Muthama said.
