(Photo/nation.co.ke)Governor Alfred Mutua has promised to deliver all the development pledges he made to residents in the recently concluded general election.
In his address after being sworn in as governor of Machakos for a second term, the Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) party leader said that he will not disappoint residents.
Governor Mutua thanked locals for endorsing his second term saying it will come with a lot of benefits.
He said that his agenda is to continue with the development projects and empower residents economically.
“We are going to continue with where we left and I want to assure Machakos people that they will not regret endorsing my second term,” he said as quoted by the Daily Nation.
Governor Mutua said that he has a great vision of making the county an economic hub.
The governor said that his agenda is to create more jobs, boost infrastructure development, ensure locals have access to clean water and empower Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWD).
The governor urged his critics to sit down and watch him deliver for the county.
He, however, extended an olive branch to his rivals who he floored in the recently concluded polls, saying he is ready to work with them for the interest of development.
Governor Mutua won re-election trouncing his closet rival former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti.
Ndeti who was contesting on Wiper party ticket has since disputed Mutua’s win and vowed to file a petition in court.
