Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua’s wife, Lilian Ng'ang'a has kept a low profile following the re-election of her husband on August 8, 2017.
Lillian finally broke her silence on Thursday after her husband’s win was nullified.
She praised President Uhuru Kenyatta for the fight against corruption.
“Fantastic, Mr. President! Exactly what our Governor Alfred Mutua has been calling for! Let every leader be accountable. Wananchi first!” Lillian tweeted.
During his tour of Mombasa County, President Uhuru Kenyatta assured Kenyans that he will not relent in the fight against corruption.
The head of State said he will undertake a lifestyle audit.
“You must be able to explain how you got your car, your house, and land in comparison to what you earn. Corruption must end and those trying to politicise the issue will not succeed. A thief is a thief, he has no tribe. You cannot use your tribe to shield and justify yourself. We cannot afford to trivialize graft by politicking," Uhuru spoke on Thursday.
The President's remarks have already started to elicit mixed reactions from different factions.
A good percentage of Kenyans are impressed with the Kenyatta's leadership, especially his fight against corruption.
Kenyatta said corrupt leaders will be jailed.
