Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua’s wife, Lilian Ng’ang’a became the center of attraction during the swearing in ceremony. Lilian brought color and life to the event that attracted high profile guests.

The slay queen of the county, is known for her sense of fashion and this round she did not disappoint her fans. In his speech, the county boss thanked Lilian, his relatives and other residents for the support they accorded him during his campaign.

“I would like to thank God, my family – Lillian (who campaigned hard). Our children, my parents, sister, relatives, friends, colleagues, supporters – by deed, by forwarding support and by prayers. I would also like to thank Maendeleo Chap Chap members, candidates and winners. I have to admit that this was not an easy contest,” he said, as quoted by Classic FM.

The governor also said that the contest was not a walk in the park. He noted that he won because of his performance scoreboard, adding that he has nothing personal against Former Kathaini MP Wavinya Ndeti. “It was a competition between real development liberation and the dark forces of sycophancy and politics of poverty that have made Africa the poorest continent and the laughing stock of the rest of the world,” he added.
