Speaking to journalists in Kitui Town on Monday,  Ngilu said Ndeti’s persistent in the push for electoral justice has finally paid off.

Ngilu said the Court of Appeal's ruling that ordered for fresh gubernatorial election in Machakos is a big win to electoral justice.

“Wavinya Ndeti’s persistence has paid her and all people who believe in electoral justice,” Ngilu said.

She said they will support Ndeti’s bid in case a by-election is called in Machakos.

Ngilu asked Machakos people to remain calm and peaceful.

On Friday last week, the Court of Appeal nullified Mutua’s victory on grounds that the IEBC failed to conduct free and fair gubernatorial election.

In a ruling by the appellant court's Judge, William Ouko, the court said that the gubernatorial results announced by returning officer failed to meet the constitutional test.

The court ordered for fresh gubernatorial election in conformity with the constitution.

Mutua has appealed the court of appeal ruling in the Supreme Court.

The Maendelo Chap Chap Party leader says that he remains governor pending the appeal in the Supreme Court.

On the other hand, Wavinya Ndeti wants her supporters and Machakos people to prepare for a by-election.
