Nandi governor Stephen Sang has forwarded to the Nandi County Assembly names of ten County Executive Committee Members (CeCs) for consideration and approval.

Through a post on his official Facebook page on Thursday, Sang gave detailed information of each of the 10 CeCs who will form his cabinet should they be approved by the Assembly.

The list consists of mainly youthful individuals, the youngest being 28 years old Elly Kurgat who has been nominated to be in charge of Sports and Youth Affairs department and 30 year old Valentine Chemeli Chumo for the Tourism, Culture and Social Welfare docket.

"Elly is an Agribusiness Management graduate who has demonstrated experience developing intervention strategies that address youth radicalization in high risk environments," governor Sang said in his post.

Other youthful nominees for the CeC posts in Nandi county include 33-year-old Alfred Kiprotich Lagat for the powerful Finance and Economic Planning department, Hillary Kipruto Koech, 35, in the Transport and Infrastructure docket and 37-year-old Benard Kiplimo Lagat who will be in charge of Trade, Investment and Industrialization.

The youthful governor also nominated Ruth C. Koech (44 yrs) to be in charge of Health and Sanitation, Jacob Tanui (43 yrs) for the Lands, Environment and Natural Resources department, Teresa C. Morogo (48 yrs) - Administration, Public Service and E-Government, Stanley Kipkemboi Baliach (46 yrs) for Education as well as 58 year old Wilson Kibor Taiy to the Agriculture and Cooperative Development docket.

Nandi made headlines in the August polls after youthful leaders were elected with the governor now at 32 and Senator Kiprotich Cherargei, 30.

The County also has two female MCA's in their 20's who are Cynthia Suge, 24, and news reporter and radio presenter 26-year-old Nancy Chemutai.Ends
