Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi has unveiled the ten nominees for different dockets in his cabinet pending vetting by the county assembly.The new cabinet will have eight new faces if the MCAs approve all the nominees. The county boss has retained only three of the CECs who served in his last government.Dadu Karisa (Housing and Lands) and Karisa Kiringi (Environment) will retain their positions.Rachael Musyoki, who formerly headed the Health docket, has been fronted for the Devolution and Public Service department. In an interesting twist of events, Kingi has named Mnyazi Mwangovya, the former running mate of his rival Kazungu Kambi, to head the Gender and Sports docket.The Governor said he took into consideration different aspects before presenting the names of the nominees for vetting.Kingi has ensured there is gender parity in his new appointments with five males and five females featuring in the list, The Star has reported.Sources close to the Governor have said that he did his best to ensure that the nominations meet the constitutional threshold.
