Nyamira County governor John Nyagarama has been accused for giving a raw deal to people living with disability in the County.
Innocent Mose, a nominated MCA representing the disabled people said Nyagarama has not involved disabled people in his administration.
“Disabled people have not been given honey as other people have been given. Nyaragama should consider giving more posts to people living with disability to work in the county because they have the potential and the required qualifications,” said Mose.
The MCA said disabled people overwhelmingly supported and voted for Governor Nyagarama during the last year’s polls.
"Nyaragama should not forget the people who helped him clinch the seat. Let him reward the disabled with employing more people to work in his government,” stated Mose.
Mose challenged his colleagues to push Nyagarama to give more job opportunities to the disabled.
"I am appealing to my fellow MCAs to help push Governor Nyagarama, his deputy Mr Nyaribo and County Public Service Board to hire more disabled people to work at the County for equality purposes,” he said.
