Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has yet again been subjected to sharp criticism over employment policies.
In a county dominated by major clans, Nyagarama is said to have sidelined certain clans which he reportedly considers as hostile.
"He is the most nepotic leader I have ever seen. He doesn't want inclusion in his government," said Prof. Thomas Getabu.
For weeks now, Nyagarama has been tasked to explain the reason behind recruitment of his son, Momanyi Nyagarama as Director Public Administration, a move that has not gone down well with locals.
And Ex-Kitutu Masaba MP Walter Nyambati, who filed a petition challenging Nyagarama's election, says the mess can only be rectified if the court gives people opportunity to ballot.
"There is basically a problem and we hope the court shall given us opportunity to make informed decisions," he said.
Also holding powerful positions from his Bonyamatuta clan are Kefa Mocheche (Deputy Chief of Staff), Thomas Nyariki (County Secretary), Joash Gisore (political adviser) and John Omanwa.
The electoral petition case challenging his will resume in January 23rd, two days before facing court contempt charges in Kisumu Labour courts.
