Governor John Nyagarama says he is disinterested with the fine imposed on his chief competitor Walter Nyambati in Wednesday's ruling.
Justice James Makau dismissed a petition challenging Nyagarama's reelection further ordering Nyambati to pay Sh3 million to the governor.
Through his daughter Emily Nyagarama, the governor insisted that he is keen to work with his competitors.
"The win is happy and settles a protracted electioneering period. I can assure you we have nothing against the petitioner.
"To be clear, nobody will go after the money and we want all of us to work together to foster development,"she posted on Nyamira ODM whatsApp group.
A frustrated Nyambati hurriedly walked out of the court and it is not clear whether he will appeal the ruling or not.
During last year's polls, Nyagarama emerged the winner with 65,700 votes while Nyambati came second with close to 60,000 votes.
Last year, President Uhuru Kenyatta had vowed to ensure Nyambati wins the poll petition.
