Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama insists that the new Solicitor General Ken Ogeto will do a good job.
Ogeto's appointment comes at a time when Jubilee legislators from the county are accusing the president of allegedly sidelining the region.
And at Township ward on Sunday, Nyagarama, who was elected on an ODM ticket, said Ogeto would deliver on his new appointment.
"I have known him for quite a while and I am certain that he will do a good job," he said.
The second term governor adde: " It is not easy to have a Chief Justice and Solicitor General from one region. The president has done his job."
Early this year, Jubilee MPs disowned appointment of Interior CS Fred Matiang'i on grounds that he's an outsider.
During last year's nullified polls, the outcome had indicated that Uhuru Kenyatta beat Raila Odinga in a region perceived to be a NASA stronghold.
