Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama has denied claims that he is a dictator, who imposed himself to the people.
The ODM governor said he was duly elected during the August 8, 2017 polls by Nyamira electorates.
“The residents of Nyamira elected me in good faith during the last year’s polls. The claims that I am a dictator and imposed myself on the people of Nyamira are false and misleading. I have never dictated anyone in Nyamira,” he said.
He accused his political rivals for failing to allow him to serve Nyamira people with dignity and respect they deserve.
“My main political rival Walter Nyambati of Jubilee party who last during the last year’s polls does not want to accept that I defeated him.
"He has been moving across the county to spread propaganda about my leadership. The fact remains that I will remain Nyamira governor until 2022 and nobody will change that,” he said.
He assured that no region will be discriminated in his government throughout his tenure and final term in office.
