Nyamira County governor John Nyagarama has refuted claims that he should be blamed for the stalled water projects in the county.

The county boss accused his political rivals for tainting his reputation unfairly, adding that he can account for all money disbursed to the county.

“I am clean on the matter and I hereby challenge EACC to come forth and investigate me. I have never used development money for personal benefit," he said, adding that he is ready to be jailed.

He also urged locals to put their MCAs to task to ensure matters of priority are addressed by the assembly for implementation.

“Residents should watch the MCAs closely to see what they are doing with the money being allocated to the wards," he added.
