Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama has urged his main rival, Walter Nyambati to withdraw an appeal he filed challenging High Court decision to uphold his August 8, 2017 victory.
Nyagarama argued that he may end up wasting more time attending court cases and forget serving the people who elected him.
“I have no problem working with Nyambati because we contested fairly and I beat him. He should accept the will of the people of Nyamira," he said.
The county chief vowed to launch development projects across all regions in the county without discrimination.
“Funds sent from the national government will not be misused or misappropriated because I don’t want to leave a bad legacy," he noted.
The ODM governor asked County MCAs to ensure funds sent to the wards are utilized well to finish projects which will boost the livelihoods of the people.
