The county boss said anyone found working without a uniform will be sacked, arrested and arraigned in court.

He said dressing in official attires by the Askaris would help curb cases of impersonation, a trend which he says, spoils reputation of county government.

“I have been told that some Askaris report to work without official attires. This trend is giving impersonators loophole to intimidate locals," he said.

The county chief appealed to members of the public to report any county askaris spotted in civilian clothes.

“Members of the public should not fall into the tricks of conmen. As a county, We shall also sack officers who do not abide by the code of conduct," he said.
