Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has viciously denied belittling his party leader Raila Odinga, amid claims of embarrassing the former premier.
Last week, reports emerged on a possible fight between the due, with sources claiming that Raila was unhappy with Nyagarama's attitude towards the ODM party.
But over the weekend, Nyagarama maintained that he respects the party leadership adding that he supports Raila's peace reconciliation approach.
"I have never clashed with my party boss just like some people want to say. I remain focused on achieving the manifesto as enshrined in our party.
"The reconciliation approach is also welcome and I wish that they consider Nyamira as the first stopover in their countrywide tours," he said.
Among the issues Nyagarama is reportedly accused include snubbing crucial party functions without apology, in open defiance of the party structure.
Also, the county failed to enact people's assemblies when the country was undergoing a political crisis.
