Nyamira County governor John Nyagarama has advised youths to defy anyone using them for their selfish interest.
Speaking in Nyamira town on Friday in an event where affected families from Garissa varsity terror attack were given financial support, Nyagarama warned youths from the county against politicians who use them in the wrong way.
"I ask the youth to be careful about politicians who are out to misuse them for their own personal benefits. They should desist from such leaders whose intention is to use others as ladders," warned Governor Nyagarama.
Nyagarama promised to support survivors of the Garissa varsity masaccre in their academic pursuit.
He said he would monitor survivors to ensure they are successfully enrolling academic, “I will work with the Ministry of Education and other well-wishers, France and Italy to see the survivor students resume studies.”
In the event, Governor Nyagarama gave Sh700,000 to 24 affected families of the Garissa terrorist attack where Kenya lost close to 147 lives while others escaping with injuries.
