The County government of Kisumu and the the Asan City have agreed to establish relations based on friendship and goodwill to strengthen the relationship for further development and set up sisterhood relationship in near future.

The two, led by Governor Anyang' Nyong'o, and Mayor Bok Ki-Wang' signed an agreement of mutual benefit and practical exchange in several fields such as education, economic, cultural, tourism, urban agriculture, urban planning, environment management and technology transfer.

Nyong'o said this would invite trainees for agricultural training program, exchange for personnel.

"This agreement is signed in Kisumu, Kenya on 5 September 2017 and made with two copies of each language English and Korean each of them has equal power and shall enter into force upon signature," he said, during the signing.

The signing of the treaty was witnessed by Deputy Governor Dr Mathew Owili, Chief Of Staff Ouya Kalausi, Maseno University Vice Chancellor Prof Nyabundi, Kisumu County Assembly Speaker Onyango Oloo and former Kisumu Mayor Sam Okello.
