[Photo|Governor Nyong'o CU]Former Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma filed a petition at the Kisumu Law Court seeking nullification of Prof Anyang' Nyong'o's August 8 election.Ranguma who lost his seat to Nyong'o claims the gubernatorial race was not conducted in accordance with the law.On Thursday, Nyong'o appeared in court as a witness to defend his win, accompanied by his Deputy Ochieng Owili, County Secretary Olang'o Onudi, Chief of Staff Patrick Ouya, Economic Planning CeC nominee Richard Ogendo and Environment CeC nominee Salmon Orimba.In his suit papers Ranguma through his lawyer Onsong'o claimed Nyong'o accused him of nepotism and misuse of public funds in political rallies. In response, Nyong'o admitted and mentioned institutions where he lodged such complaints. The institutions include the Senate and the Senate Budgetary and Accounts committee. His chief agent Aloice Ager also made a presentation in court under the guidance his legal team led by Senior Counsel James Orengo.
