[Photo|County Government of Kisumu]Kisumu Governor Anyang' Nyong'o visited Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Hospital where he was received by the hospital's Medical Superintendent Dr Juliana Atieno.He alongside the hospital management held a board meeting, where Dr Atieno said the facility needed additional nurses and several specialist doctors to address the current challenges. She indicated there was lack of adequate modern medical equipment at the facility to conduct some operations, Wednesday.The hospital has struggled to cope with soaring patient numbers given that it is the only specialist hospital in operation in the county during the on going nurses strike.On his part, Nyong'o promised to address some of the issues raised ensure there is a good working relationship between the hospital and the county government for better services.The governor was accompanied by County Secretary Dr Olang'o Onudi, Health Chief Officer Dr Onyango and Director of Administration Abala Wanga.
