Governor Anyang' Nyong'o held a consultative meeting with the Acting City Manager Muthoni Orlate, AFD representative Anthea Manasseh, City Planner Solomon Kijea Mwongo, County Secretary Dr Olang'o Onudi, Chief of Staff Patrick Ouya and other stakeholders, with aims of rolling out mega projects across Kisumu County.
This is in line with one of his pledges of 100 days in office, where he pledged is to establish a proper governance in Kisumu City by creating a City Management Board with a City Manager that would take care of the city residents. He assured that the Kisumu Water Supply Project was already completed he continued to roll out other phases for every household across the county to access safe drinking water.
"Lake Victoria Water Sanitation Project, Kisumu Sewerage Water Plan, Modernisation of Kibuye, Otonglo and Jubilee Market are among the major projects that we intend to complete within our term of service to the people," he affirmed, Thursday.
Nyong'o further indicated that he would also hold an International Water Investment Conference in November this year in liaison with Kisumu Water and Sewerage Company (KIWASCO) in trying to make tap water more affordable and more accessible to residents.
