[Photo|Anyang' Nyong'o]Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang Nyong'o hosted a consortium of investors who include Deltares - Netherlands, Greenagia Africa, Illumina and SNV- Netherlands and the Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA) at his offices on Tuesday.They held discussions on the potential of Lake Victoria and how to secure and manage the Winam Gulf for the benefit of all the neighbouring counties.The KMA gave an update on the status of the ports to be built by Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) at the piers formerly owned by Kenya Railways.The consortium was represented by Dr Victor Langenberg, Pulkit Shamshery, Rushab Haria, Reinilde Eppinga and Reena Shah.KMA was represented by the Ports and Shipping Services Manager Tumaini Namoya and the Kisumu Branch Manager Jeremiah Onyango while the Governor was accompanied by the Chief of Staff Ouya, the CeC for Environment, Water and Natural Resources Salmon Orimba and other senior County officers.Nyong'o expressed his commitment to work with the investors to better the lake and lives of Kisumu residents.
