[Photo|Eddy Illah]Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang' Nyong'o has urged residents not to sell their Identity Cards, ahead of the fresh October presidential election.Citing incidents where representatives of the ruling Jubilee Party were allegedly caught buying ID cards by issuing voters with monies in the county, the governor asked the clergy to be in the forefront in condemning impunity witnessed in the August elections. He requested them to remind the people the importance of voting. He told the people of their elaborate program they have set to ensure maximum voter turn out right from the polling stations. He further assured them that Canaan was real and that their IDs will be our tools to ensure Raila wins the coming electionsHe was speaking, Friday, alongside deputy Dr Ochieng Owili, when they joined family, friends and relatives of the late Pharez Odhiambo Ouko in paying him the last respect.
Speaking in Amagoro, Nyakach sub-county reminded the people that justice was served at the Supreme Court. "This gave us yet another opportunity to prove to the world that Rt Raila Amolo Odinga won the elections."He went further and condemned the IEBC warning that we would not go for another election with the current IEBC unless changes are made in the composition of new officials.
