[Photo/Eddy Illah]Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang Nyong'o's former gubernatorial campaign manager has topped the prestigious list of Top 40 Executives under 40 Years.Ezekiel Owuor emerged top among forty men who have excelled in their respective fields of profession in this year’s ranking. At the age of 38, Owuor is the Managing Director – CIC Life Assurance Ltd and is credited to reviving the fortunes of the company to become a multi billion-profit firm in less than 4 years. He has over 16 years of experience in the insurance Industry. Prior to joining CIC Group, Owuor worked with Chase Bank Kenya Ltd where he was the General Manager in charge of Consumer Business. He also worked at Pan Africa Life Assurance Ltd as the General Manager in charge of Retail Business. He has also worked and held senior management positions at CfC Life Assurance (Liberty Africa), Old Mutual Kenya and ICEA among others.In 2016 then Senator Prof Anyang’ Nyong’o appointed Owuor who hails from Kit Mikayi to head his gubernatorial campaigns in a bid to bring the much needed change to Kisumu. Mr Ezzy as he’s popularly referred to delivered the victory and is now back to his office where he has emerged the best among the forty nominees.He holds a Masters of Business Administration in Strategic Business Management from Strathmore Business School, a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM-UK) and a Bachelors degree from Moi University. In addition, Ezekiel is COP qualified from the College of Insurance (K) and also holds the London Executive Management Programme from the Retail Banking Academy (UK). He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), the Marketing Society of Kenya and the Kenya Professionals Network.The MD was also elected Director of Kenya Rugby Union in March this year.
